Job Description:
This advanced-level position is responsible for installing audio/visual systems and related equipment in high-end residential environments, allowing customers to turn technology into an enhanced lifestyle experience. The employee would work alongside other technicians and quite likely be leading a team.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of a Project Manager, complete daily and weekly assignments as planned and communicate project needs, change requests, issues, and status.
- Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, site supervisors, project partners, and other trades.
- Demonstrate the company’s commitment to superior service through sensitivity to client requests and needs.
Duties (Essential Functions):
- Efficiently pull, terminate, label, and test cables between audio, video, data, and control equipment
- Running/fishing/terminations of low-voltage wiring
- Installation of TVs and TV mounts, in-wall and ceiling speakers, projectors, etc.
- Wire Management
- Clean installation debris after all service and installation visits
- Perform full service test after installation or service visit prior to leaving site
- Perform fleet vehicle clean-up weekly as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2 years minimum experience as an in-field A/V technician (Control4 and/or Crestron experience a plus)
- Ability to visualize the sequence of work and convert it to a measurable plan and schedule
- Ability to work under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities
- Knowledge of residential systems integration, including audio/video, lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone, and computer networks, including the ability to set up, configure, calibrate, and commission equipment after physical installation
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and/or via email, phone, or text to varied audiences
- Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction
- Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Must remain smoke-free while on-site with customers and while operating fleet vehicle
Physical Demands/ Working Environment:
- Must be able to lift or maneuver objects up to and exceeding 75 pounds as well as frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, walking, and standing on a regular basis while performing job duties
- Includes working in an indoor & outdoor work environment
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include some traveling, evenings, and weekends as needed
Hours:
- Full-time work from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday or Tuesday – Friday
